Don't backup offline maps
At the moment I have an offline map with the size of 3 GB. This backup now takes a lot of space on my SSD-drive for both the iPhone and the iPad I have. Is there a way of letting these offline maps outside the backups? This probably also applies to backing up to the cloud.
In Good reader I saw that in iOS 5 there is an option to exclude folders from the backup (http://www.goodiware.com/goodreader.html#UPDATES).
