More map sources.

It would be so much better with additional map sources, like google maps and bing (see MotionX for an example), with satellite maps too. It's annoying to quit Galileo to open other mapping apps. Cheers

We can't use Google Maps as online map source due to restrictions on usage:
http://maps.google.com/help/legalnotices_maps.html

But you can create offline maps from 'custom map sources' (e.g. Google Maps) by yourself ;)

Emailing a collection crashes the app

I tried emailing myself a collection but in most cases the app crashes. It worked in one case where there were only two poi's, but all other made it crash. The number of pois in the others ranged from 5-30 something and in both the working and...

Resolution: unexpected symbol in collection's name crashes the app while exporting that collection.

I cannot purchase the import maps from pc feature. I do not hav in app purchase restricted. When I choose the option it loads for several minutes and does not finish.

I cannot get the latest version to run on my ipod touch 2nd gen. I have reinstalled Galileo app, updated the IOS and even rebooted my ipod. Any suggestions?

Show name of bookmarks

Show/hide the name of the bookmarks on maps. Better: show/hide selected categories.

Thank you for your idea about the hiding the selected bookmark categories in map! We'll keep your suggestion in mind.

How it works now:
To hide a particular bookmark from the map, just tap once on the item name in My Collections list. It turns the font colour from black to gray; i.e. black – for visible, gray – for hidden bookmarks. Tap it again to show the bookmark on map.

Add mapsource "eniro" for sweden, norway, denmark and finland.

Its the best source for maps in scandinavia from, from swedish national survey. It should be posible cause android app "osmand" has its available a great source.

Hi, since the version 2.4 you can add Eniro map source manually via special XML file.

Since v2.5 app allows to add custom maps in QuadTile format as XML files (like UK Ordnance Survey and Bing Maps).

Stop overzooming on offline maps

In version 2.2.1.1, zooming of offline maps stopped at the map created levels. Since 2.3 I can oversoom to a fuzzy image or zoom out to where there is no map displayed at all.

Hi, please check the latest v2.6 - there is a setting for that. Go to system Settings, scroll down and find the Galileo app in list, the set "Allow overzoom on map" setting as you wish. Hope you will like it.

zoom out with one finger

Google maps recently introduced a new way to zoom in/out with only one finger. The steps are : double-tap, hold then move down/up to zoom in/out with instant visual feedback.

Hi Pierre, it is already works - try yourself:
a) to zoom in with one hand, double-tap a map and drag your finger up.
b) to zoom out with one hand, double-tap a map and drag your finger down.
